Jason Singh

Singer, songwriter and original founding member of the iconic Australian Band Taxiride, JASON SINGH has been entertaining audiences for over 20 years.

With Taxiride, Jason stood on top of that mountain that is the Australian music industry with nine top 40 hit singles including the top five hits “Get Set”, “Everywhere You Go”, and the most played song on Australian radio in 2002 “Creepin’ Up Slowly”.

Taxiride established itself as one of Australia’s premier live bands playing countless sold out shows and touring the world including supporting Tina Turner across Europe with two sold out shows at Wembley Stadium. Taxiride enjoyed two consecutive number #1 platinum selling albums and won the 1999 ARIA for ‘Breakthrough Artist – Single’.

As a solo artist, Jason has had two Top 10 ARIA club hits with “The World As You Know It” and “One World”.
In 2013 Jason released his debut solo album "Humannequin", produced by the legendary Australian 'song doctor', Charles Fisher (Savage Garden, 1927), which showcases my vocal versatility and songwriting. As one reviewer put it, "Humannequin" ... sets a new benchmark with sky scraping pop songs.” (Herald Sun, Melbourne).

Following the success of "Humannequin", in 2015 Jason embarked on his most exciting and original challenge yet The Jason Singh Project - Six Singles in 12 Months. Each single from The Jason Singh Project demonstrated my sense of melody and classic songwriting. The tracks delivered ranged from big sounding multi-formatted pop rock tracks to synth-pop gems. This project brought people into my home and studio sharing the music journey - from the concept and song writing through to recording and releasing.

In 2017 off the back of the sold out Red Hot Summer Tour with Taxiride as part of our 20th Anniversary reformation tour and my solo support to John Farnham, I joined multi-Grammy nominated pop-rock trio HANSON as part of their sell-out Middle Of Everywhere World Tour.

In 2017 Jason had a supporting cast role in Season 4 of The Real Housewives of Melbourne, as he mentored one of the Housewives and co-wrote and released 'This Time' for the show.

In September 2018, debuting at #2 on the iTunes alternative charts and charting at #3 on the AIR 100% independent albums charts, Jason released my second solo album VALE; a tribute to the artists who have contributed to him as an artist. Each track featured on the album was chosen for its influence throughout Jason's life and career to-date.

2021 Jason will be touring his brand new show: Jason Singh plays Taxiride: Hits, Bits and Beyond. This tour will be  an acoustic journey of stories, influences and insights from over 20 years of touring as the original Taxirider Jason Singh continues the ride his own way.
